The wait is over, the community shop is now open! Opening hours to begin with are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm Saturday, and 9am-12pm Sunday. Some stock is in place and more stock will be added by the end of the week.
We now hope to open by the end of May and will publicise a launch date soon.
The business plan, share prospectus, and share application form documents are now available to download:
A very informative flyer has been produced that will be posted to every house in the parish, so please look out for it or you can download it now by clicking here.
The Steering Group of the Villages Community Shop are holding an open morning, outside the shop, on Saturday 10th November, from 8:30 until 13:00.

Please come along if you have any questions or suggestions about the shop.
A basic template for the community shop website has been created which you can take a look at here. This will be refined and added to over the coming weeks and months as we get closer to the shop opening.

Lots of people have volunteered already to help with the community shop and a steering committee has been formed.

However the more people that can help the better so if you would like to get involved please contact admin@winfordcommunityshop.org.uk.

You may have heard that Winford Village Store and Post Office is set to close, since it is no longer commercially viable in its present form. Whilst we don’t know when exactly, it is likely to be very soon.

If a solution is to be found it will need everyone to pull together. If you value the services a village shop and/or post office can offer the community and want something to replace it, then you must get involved.
